Tobias Turns Three

The day dawned hot and sunny for Tobias' big birthday!! We had organised a breakfast party at the beach with about 40 friends ( half kids, half adults) so headed down to the beach for bacon & eggs, fruit and muffins.
Was a fabulous day, TO had a ball, was spoilt with presents and we all got sunburnt. He has wanted a Bob Cake all year so luckily I had the right colours to oblige. He is keen as to head off to kindy so hopefully Carl will get him booked in this week for a start next term. So my baby grows up!!!

Bubu and Chapul are staying with us at the moment so are enjoyed the celebrations and reliving their time in PNG, abeit a different location.

Speaking of PNG Carl has just got back from a week up there organising a flying job. He heads back at the end of next week to begin working 4 week tours. Means he will be 4 weeks in Honiara off work and 4 weeks in PNG. Will make for a very busy schedule on the home front but if you know Carl well you will know he is only contect when he is flying!!!!!

Tenaru Falls Walk

Yesterday we did the unthinkable -exercise in the Tropics. We walked to the fabulous Tenaru Falls. Took nearly 3 hours to walk there - slowed firstly by a land dispute over whose land it was and who we should be paying, and of course a few little legs. The tramp crossed the river a dozen times as well as had us walking up stretches of the river. The walk was long but well worth the spectular falls. If you look carefully at the photos you can see a small group of people standing on a rock in the middle of the falls on the left. Gives you a better idea of how huge they were. Was a great day but we are all suffering from sore legs today.
