Tenaru Falls Walk
Yesterday we did the unthinkable -exercise in the Tropics. We walked to the fabulous Tenaru Falls. Took nearly 3 hours to walk there - slowed firstly by a land dispute over whose land it was and who we should be paying, and of course a few little legs. The tramp crossed the river a dozen times as well as had us walking up stretches of the river. The walk was long but well worth the spectular falls. If you look carefully at the photos you can see a small group of people standing on a rock in the middle of the falls on the left. Gives you a better idea of how huge they were. Was a great day but we are all suffering from sore legs today.
We are a kiwi family currently living in Honiara - Solomon Islands. Our work takes us to the Solomons and PNG. We are loving the challenge and rewards that come from living and working in Melanesian countries and the richness of new friends and experiences
